Established by an order of Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday, May 25, 1997 Chandauli has a rich demographical character. It has three Tehsils named Chakia, Sakaldiha and Chandauli. Every tehsil covers three development blocks.
Chakia Tehsil
In 2011, Chakia tehsil had population of 426,686 of which male and female
were 222,592 and 204,094 respectively.Total literates and illiterates out of total population in Chakia tehsil were 236,939 and 189,747 respectively. SC and ST population of Chakia tehsil were 120342 and 15036 against the data of Census 2011. Summary of Census 2011 for Chakia Tehsil is as follows-
